Levels & Testing at Tactica KMI

At Tactica Krav Maga Institute, we offer training and testing in Krav Maga at 10 levels: P1-P5 and G1-G5.  (Students interested in training or testing at the Expert level should speak with Danny.)

Requirements

With regular training (roughly 2 times a week), students are generally ready to test for the next level every 4 months.  We offer tests for each level periodically throughout the year, per demand, and spaced out according to this interval (tests are offered every 3 months). Graduate testing is offered periodically throughout the year during Instructor and Graduate training events.

Before being eligible for the next level test, the student must have attended a minimum of 35 hours of training at their current rank, and must have instructor approval.

Students are required to pre-register for tests. You must be registered with instructor approval 2 weeks before the test. No late registrations or walk-ins allowed.

The testing fee is $120 for every level test. If you do not pass the test, you can retake the test as many times as necessary with no additional fee.

Test Review

We will now hold a test review day the Monday 2 weeks prior to the test date. Please attend regular classes on that day for review material.

Testing Overview

Tests run a minimum of 5 hours up to several days of testing.  The general structure is:  1-2 hours of cardio and conditioning; 2-3 hours of review of the material being tested; and 1 hour of testing.  Higher level tests will require mastery of all previous technique and will therefore take more time to cover all the required material.

Scores are: Pass / Conditional Pass / Fail. Conditional Pass will require you to demonstrate certain material to your instructor within a specified amount of time prior to receiving your certificate.

Scores will be tallied and results sent to you electronically within 1 to 2 weeks after the test. Certificates will be sent to your main training location.
